Our story spans two contries but we both call ourselves American (South America and North America)
We first met at Dallas Aquarium in July 14th 2018. We discovered that we have an incredible connection (Janne "I loved his beard"). We had so many things to talk about, from weird songs to our dreams, for example, one of Janne's dreams was to see Shane & Shane live.
We kept in touch every day. On Janne's one year anniversary in the USA, Timothy took her to see Shane & Shane live (Janne "he touched my heart"). We were going out almost every night. Janne would make frogs out of the dinner receipts and Timothy would name them.
Janne's exchange program required her to move to Connecticut, we agreed to keep in touch as friends. We carefully divided up the frogs, some went to Connecticut and the rest stayed in Texas.
In July Janne came back to visit Texas (Janne "I was so excited to see him"). She stayed at her friend's house close to Timothy (Timothy "Thanks Carol!"). It felt like we picked up exactly where we left off, we were seeing each other every day. Timothy asked Janne to stay longer, and she did (Timothy "I'm very glad she did").
Timothy: On the 14th (our first date was on a 14th) I took Janne to a pond and told her that I couldn't imagine my life without her and held her until I finally got enough courage to propose.
Janne: He was telling me sweet things that really touched my heart. I gave him a hug to hide my tears. Then, he asked "will you marry me?" I couldn't believe it was real, I would be with him for the rest of my life.
She said "yes"! We look forward to this next chapter together and are excited to celebrate with y`all.
